I work across technical products, computational engineering and venture building.

My work spans engineering software, simulation, scientific machine learning, sensing systems and AI-powered products. I am interested in turning difficult physical and computational problems into systems that engineers, researchers and users can apply in practice.

The journey

Engineering depth came first. Product and venture work widened the frame.

Foundation

Engineering and computation

I studied mechanical engineering and later completed an MTech in Nanotechnology at IIT Roorkee. The work developed into computational mechanics, multiphysics simulation, numerical methods and a habit of understanding the physical problem, mathematical model and implementation limits together.

Expansion

Research and computational systems

The work expanded into custom solvers, scientific computing, post-processing, validation, high-volume simulation campaigns and data pipelines for engineering and scientific machine-learning applications.

Integration

Products and ventures

Building products and ventures introduced a different set of questions: who the system is for, which problem matters most, what should be prioritised and how hardware, software, evidence, cost and delivery fit together.

How I describe the work

Three parts of the same practice.

Primary

Entrepreneur

I identify technical opportunities, build teams and collaborations around them and work through the practical questions of delivery, funding, partnerships and adoption.

Foundation

Computational scientist

My technical foundation is in simulation, numerical methods, solver development, scientific computing and validation of complex physical systems.

Translation

Product person

I work on how technical capability becomes a usable product: defining the problem, structuring the system, prioritising features, managing trade-offs and connecting evidence with user needs.

Co-founder

Avkalan Labs

Engineering R&D, simulation software, scientific machine learning, technical delivery and product direction.

Product and venture

EigenSole

A connected insole and movement-analytics product spanning hardware, data and software.

Technical lead

Engineering and research collaborations

Custom numerical solvers, simulation platforms, data-generation workflows, validation and specialist engineering software. Worked on projects funded by ISRO, DRDO and other international labs.

Working principles

A few ideas that shape how I approach technical work.

01

Start with the problem and the decision, not the technology.

02

Keep technical validation connected to product and delivery choices.

03

Make complex systems understandable without removing important detail.

04

Build enough structure to move from exploration to repeatable execution.

Beyond work

Based in Bengaluru, with interests around learning, technical communities and mentorship.

Outside project work, I spend time writing about engineering concepts, learning across adjacent technical fields and contributing to communities around research, startups and student mentorship.
